Terms & conditions
These terms govern your use of Bazio. By browsing a marketplace, submitting a listing, or running a community marketplace here, you accept them.
Plain language. A starting point for the operator and their adviser, not legal advice.
1. What Bazio is
Bazio is a platform that powers community marketplaces. A community with a Telegram group can have its own marketplace here: posts in that group become listings, and those listings appear on a storefront that belongs to that community.
Bazio is a listing and discovery platform. We are not a party to transactions between users, we do not hold funds, and we do not provide escrow.
Any contract for an item or a service is formed directly between the buyer and the seller. We are not the seller, not the buyer, and not an agent, broker, payment processor or escrow provider for either side. There is no checkout, no wallet and no escrow on this platform, and we take no commission on anything sold.
Money Team Albania is one community with a marketplace on Bazio, and was the first. It is not the platform. What the platform does is described on the how Bazio works page.
2. Who can use it
Browsing requires no account. Signing in uses Telegram, and you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. Some marketplaces require you to be a member of their Telegram group, which is checked when you sign in.
We record the numeric Telegram user id as the permanent identifier for an account, because a Telegram handle can be changed at any time. You are responsible for everything submitted from your account. Do not share access to it, and do not create additional accounts to work around a restriction or a ban.
3. Listings made from group posts
Where a community has connected its Telegram group to Bazio, a post in that group that reads as something being offered may be turned into a public listing on that community's marketplace, whether or not the person who posted it has an account here. That listing carries the post's text, its photos, and the Telegram handle shown on it, so a buyer can make contact.
The owner of that community is responsible for telling their members this happens. Posts that are not an offer of something are ignored, and anything not published is not visible to the public.
If a listing was made from your post and you want it removed, ask the owner of that marketplace, or write to legal@bazio.app. We will take it down.
4. Your obligations as a seller
When you publish a listing, or leave one published that was made from your post, you confirm all of the following.
- You have the legal right to sell what you list, and it is not stolen, counterfeit or restricted.
- Your description and photos represent the actual item or service.
- Your price and currency are stated honestly, including whether it is negotiable.
- You respond to buyers within a reasonable time, and you mark a listing sold once it is gone.
- You do not list the same thing repeatedly to gain visibility, and you do not create additional accounts.
- You follow the rules of the community marketplace you are posting in, the platform safety guide, and the law that applies to you.
5. Running a community marketplace
Applying for a marketplace is free, and a platform administrator reads every application. A Telegram group can belong to one marketplace only, and that is checked again at the moment of approval rather than when the application was filed.
Approval makes you the owner of that one marketplace and grants you nothing anywhere else on Bazio. As an owner you agree to all of the following.
- You genuinely run, or are authorised to act for, the Telegram community you are claiming.
- You connect a bot you created and control, and you add it to your own group. You do not connect a group you have no authority over.
- You tell your members that posts in the group may become public listings on your marketplace.
- You review what your marketplace publishes, act on reports about it, and remove anything that breaks the rules.
- You use what you can see about your members only to run your marketplace, and never for anything else.
- You keep your own team's access to what they actually need.
You can disconnect your bot, hide your storefront, or close your marketplace at any time from your own settings. Closing it permanently deletes that marketplace's listings, reports, statistics and verification records. Accounts, seats held in other marketplaces, and the moderation record are kept.
6. Moderation, and what approval does not mean
Each marketplace decides how much it reads. It can require a person to approve every listing before it appears, or it can let a listing that is clearly fine and breaks none of its rules publish on its own, with anything doubtful held in its review queue. So a listing you are looking at may or may not have been read by a person, and neither state is a check on the seller.
Whichever it has chosen, the platform floor still applies.
- A listing that fails the platform safety check is stopped, in every marketplace, whatever that marketplace has chosen.
- A rule set by the platform rather than by a community cannot be waived by a community setting.
- A listing can be escalated to the platform, and while it is held there the community cannot publish it.
Approval, where it happens, means only that nobody saw something that broke the rules. It is not a verification that the item exists, is authentic, or is as described, and it is not an endorsement of the seller.
We and the relevant community owner may, at our discretion and without prior notice, take any of the following actions.
- Refuse a listing at review, with a reason recorded.
- Correct a listing's category or an obvious formatting problem.
- Take a published listing back down immediately, pending review.
- Restrict how much a seller can list, or suspend a seller account.
- Suspend, archive or permanently close a community marketplace.
- Remove or edit the corresponding post in a community channel where Telegram allows it.
Every moderation action is recorded internally with who took it, when, and why. A community owner's authority applies inside their own marketplace only.
7. Prohibited listings
Some goods and services are never permitted here, including stolen or counterfeit goods, compromised online accounts, weapons, drugs, custody of money or cryptocurrency, escrow, and unauthorised regulated financial services. The full list is in the safety guide, which forms part of these terms.
A community marketplace can add its own rules on top of these, and can be stricter than the platform. It cannot be more permissive.
8. Verification badges
A verification badge represents only the specific check that was carried out, and nothing more. It does not mean we have assessed a seller's honesty, their ability to deliver, or the quality or authenticity of anything they list. Do not treat a badge as a reason to skip your own checks.
9. Paid visibility
A seller may pay for featured placement, a bump, a subscription or sponsored placement. There is no checkout on this platform: these are arranged directly with an administrator, and the arrangement is then recorded by hand against the account. Bazio never holds your money at any point.
Paid placement is always visibly labelled, and it never removes organic results or hides unpaid listings. It buys placement only. It does not buy approval, it does not exempt a listing from moderation, and it does not imply an endorsement. A promoted listing that breaks the rules is removed like any other, and any refund for an unused period is at the operator's discretion.
10. Telegram publishing
A community may publish its listings back to its own Telegram channel, as a formatted post containing the listing title, price, location, category and the seller's Telegram handle, with a link back to the listing page. Publishing a listing in a marketplace configured this way is your consent to that.
When a listing is sold, suspended, expired or removed, the channel post is updated or deleted where Telegram allows it. A message that has already reached subscribers cannot be fully recalled. Where an edit is not possible, the listing page on this site is the authoritative record.
11. Content you submit
You keep ownership of your listing text and photos. By publishing them here, or by posting them in a group connected to a marketplace, you grant us and that community a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for formatting and publish them on that marketplace and in that community's Telegram channel, for as long as the listing exists and for a reasonable period afterwards in our records.
Do not submit anything you do not have the right to publish, including photos taken from other listings or from the internet. Photos are served from a public address, so do not include anything in them you would not want seen publicly.
12. Liability
The platform is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between members, from the accuracy or legality of a listing, from the conduct of any member or community owner, or from any interruption to the service.
A community marketplace is run by its own community. We are not responsible for how an owner runs theirs, beyond the platform rules we enforce across all of them.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the platform develops. Continuing to use it after a change means you accept the updated version.
Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@bazio.app. The operating entity has not been stated yet and is to be completed by the operator. The governing law has not been stated yet and is to be completed by the operator.
